Happy Feet
Altrusa's newest service project continues to grow and grow and grow.

Altrusa's newest community service project has been named "Happy Feet" because that is the intent of the project - to make sure children in Branch County have warm and comfortable shoes and boots. The committee members are working with Branch County Head Start teachers and Branch County Public school teachers to identify children in need. The committee members then supply the shoes or boots either from their inventory or from a purchase.

In 2006, Altrusa made the decision to add a Cookbook Project as an additional fundraiser for the club. A committee was formed and began work on what later became the "Hometown Favorites" cookbook. All members were asked to submit their favorite recipes. The book has been published and is available for $10. If you would like to order a book, please e-mail Sara Roper.

Altrusa Golf Scramble

For the past 8years, the club has organized, promoted and directed a golf scramble. About 30 teams participate in the event which is held at one of the local golf courses. Local businesses contribute with tee and cart sponsorships and door prizes. The outing includes special event holes and of course prizes for the winning teams.
